Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is scheduled to visit the Medigadda Barrage in Bhupalpally district on April 20 to inspect the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project.
The Chief Minister's visit includes a large public meeting to be organized at Nasturipally in Kataram mandal. Minister for IT, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, along with district officials, is overseeing arrangements for this event.
The Kaleshwaram project, built under the previous BRS government, has faced severe criticism from the current Congress administration. Following the collapse of the Medigadda barrage during the 2023 elections, Congress and BJP have accused the BRS government of significant corruption in the project.
The BRS party has denied these allegations. The Chief Minister's inspection comes amidst ongoing scrutiny of the project's construction and alleged irregularities.
District authorities are making comprehensive security and traffic management arrangements for the Chief Minister's visit.
